Our practice focuses on complex and high-value matters involving birth injuries, child injuries, medical negligence, commercial vehicle accidents, and other catastrophic personal injury cases.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney licensed in New York to join our growing litigation team. We are looking for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for injured clients and possesses the litigation skills, judgment, and commitment necessary to successfully prosecute significant personal injury cases throughout New York.
🔍 About the Position
This role offers substantial responsibility, autonomy, and opportunity for advancement. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our litigation team while taking ownership of cases through all phases of investigation, litigation, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and appeal when necessary.
This is a fully remote position. Candidates may work remotely from anywhere; however, an active New York law license is required, and attorneys must be available to attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and other litigation-related proceedings throughout New York as needed.
📝 Primary Responsibilities
Handle a sophisticated plaintiff-side personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
Investigate and develop liability and damages evidence in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, briefs, and appellate filings.
Conduct and defend fact witness, corporate representative, treating physician, and expert depositions.
Collaborate with medical experts, life care planners, economists, accident reconstructionists, and other consulting professionals.
Prepare comprehensive settlement demands and participate in mediation and settlement negotiations.
Develop and execute litigation and trial strategy in collaboration with firm leadership.
Prepare cases for trial and actively participate in courtroom proceedings.
Maintain proactive client communication and deliver exceptional client service.
Utilize technology and case management systems to effectively manage deadlines, litigation tasks, and workflow.
🎯 Qualifications
Active New York Bar license in good standing is required.
Minimum seven (7) years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience required.
Experience handling serious injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, birth injury, child injury, medical malpractice, or commercial vehicle accident cases is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience conducting depositions and managing complex litigation matters.
Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency with legal technology, case management systems, and remote collaboration tools.
Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and commitment to achieving outstanding client outcomes.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while demonstrating ownership, initiative, and leadership.
Trial experience is strongly preferred.
