Position Overview
The Department of Integrated Systems Engineering is accepting applications for Semester Lecturer appointment(s) (temporary position; less than 30hrs a week) to teach undergraduate and/or graduate course(s) in the Department of Integrated Systems Engineering for Fall/Spring/Summer semester. Hours will vary, pending course(s) available. Duties include but are not limited to: holding office hours; grading assignments and submitting grades; may participate in curriculum development and course coordination.
All courses are taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio.

· Presenting course material and guiding students through assignments
· Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
· Demonstrated commitment to student success.
· Collaboration with fellow instructors
Education and Experience Requirements
Required
· Master’s degree or equivalent
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills
A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State’s Shared Values.
Desired
· Experience teaching in a learning setting including, but not limited to, K-12 classroom experience or higher education teaching as an instructor of record or graduate teaching assistant.

Department Information
The Department of Integrated Systems Engineering (ISE) offers degrees in industrial and systems engineering (B.S., M.S., and Ph.D.). These degrees focus on the manufacturing, design, operations, and management of complex systems, providing students with a blend of technical, management and human-centered skills. The department has faculty doing cutting edge research in human systems integration, operations research, and manufacturing. The department has 50 faculty and staff, and graduates about 150 undergraduates and 30 graduate students per year.
