What You Will Do:
The Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) organization is hiring a Production Planner responsible for driving our materials and logistics transformation. The Production Planner will be executing materials transformation initiatives and driving strategic materials management architecture. It will include the releasing of material, managing handling methods, kitting and material movement following the fundamentals of line back logistics.
Success will be measured by developing strategies and executing goals with the business units/departments and objectives to meet capacity requirements, inventory controls, cost reduction objectives, on time delivery, and control tower measures. The individual will have the opportunity to work directly with CSMC administration, materials, operations, quality, engineering, and 3PL organizations to execute on business requirements and deliver to customer expectations.
Execute strategies and oversee activities through multiple CSMC business units
Develop and maintain realistic production plans by participating in monthly finance-led forecast, quarterly IBP (Integrated Business Planning) SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) events, and yearly business unit LRP (Long-Range Planning)/AOP (Annual Operating Plan) events.
Align all monthly and yearly production plans with key stakeholders to ensure cross-functional agreement and operational feasibility.
Maintain and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demands, production capacity, and material availability.
Conduct material planning and scenario planning to proactively address potential supply chain and production challenges.
Perform regular "Performance to Plan" reviews to monitor and measure output against established production schedules.
Execute rolling production planning with monthly adjustments to accommodate dynamic business and customer requirements.
Experience with time-phased planning grids and the ability to organize production data into specific time periods (e.g., weekly or monthly buckets).
Act as the key liaison between finance, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of financial, operational, and supply planning processes.
Evaluate and mitigate risks to the production schedule by assessing capacity constraints, material shortages, and other potential disruptions.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing, materials management/materials planning, quality, supply chain or related field; or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years’ experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Proficiency with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems and tools.
Strong understanding of demand planning, including direct and dependent demand principles.
Knowledge of capacity planning, inventory management, and production scheduling best practices.
Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and lead time analysis.
Proven ability to identify and mitigate production bottlenecks while optimizing manufacturing efficiency.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate capacity constraints and inventory levels.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Database tables, or other relevant platforms).
Aerospace industry experience
Experience utilizing SAP operating system and Kinaxis
Advanced knowledge of materials management strategies, Lean manufacturing system design and shop floor management
Knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. Lean manufacturing, CORE, QCPC)
CPIM certification or willingness to earn
Excel and Power BI knowledge

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
