Role Description The Senior Engineer will work full time on-site at the Gurgaon location, contributing to engineering design, development, and improvement of automotive components and related systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading technical projects, preparing and reviewing engineering drawings and documentation, coordinating with production, quality, and supply chain teams, and ensuring that designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role involves analyzing data, resolving technical issues on the shop floor, supporting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support new product introduction, optimize processes for cost and efficiency, and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Qualifications
Strong engineering fundamentals in mechanical, automotive, or related disciplines, including design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency with CAD and engineering tools (e.g., 2D/3D modeling, tolerance analysis, and technical documentation).
Experience in production support, process optimization, and problem-solving using structured methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, continuous improvement).
Knowledge of automotive industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements relevant to component manufacturing.
Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, or related field) from an accredited institution.
Prior experience in an automotive or component manufacturing organization at an engineer or senior engineer level; experience in Gurgaon or similar industrial hubs is an advantage.
