Indian Digital Payment Intelligence Corporation (IDPIC) is a Section 8 company, incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013. It is promoted by the State Bank of India (SBI) and Bank of Baroda, along with other banks/payment companies, and functions under the regulatory approval and oversight of the Department of Financial Services and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). IDPIC has been established as the nation’s central digital payment fraud intelligence platform. Its primary mandate is to detect, prevent, and analyse fraud in India’s rapidly expanding digital payments ecosystem in real time. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Big Data Analytics, IDPIC plays a pivotal role in strengthening the security and trustworthiness of India’s digital payment infrastructure.
Position Overview:
The Network Specialist/Site reliability Engineer will be responsible for designing, securing, and maintaining DPIP’s resilient, high-availability network infrastructure to enable secure, uninterrupted data exchange across banks, RBIH, payment entities, and partner systems. The role will ensure reliability, performance, scalability, and resilience of critical services through proactive monitoring, incident management, automation, capacity planning, release support, and HA/DR operations.
Qualification and Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent. Master’s degree in relevant technology disciplines is desirable.
Preferred: Certifications such as CCNP / CCIE, and cloud-networking (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Work Experience:
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise network design, administration and security.
Expertise in TCP/IP, routing & switching, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, SD-WAN, DNS, network segmentation and zero-trust, and cloud / hybrid networking. Experience operating high-availability, low-latency financial networks with DDoS protection and network-security controls. Experience in SRE, DevOps, Production Engineering, Infrastructure Operations or similar roles, preferably in banking, financial services, payment systems or other mission-critical environments. Experience in managing high-availability production systems and API-based platforms is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management – Design, implement, secure and maintain resilient, scalable and high-availability network infrastructure supporting DPIP’s real-time data exchange and critical services.
Production Reliability & Observability – Ensure high availability, performance, scalability and resilience of production environments through proactive monitoring, performance tuning, observability and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch and API monitoring.
Incident, Problem & Operational Management – Monitor and troubleshoot network and production incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, coordinate timely resolution and implement preventive measures to minimise service disruption.
Cloud, Linux & Container Platform Administration – Administer Linux/Unix, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, Kubernetes/Docker environments, load balancing, databases and related production platforms, with knowledge of Kafka, MinIO and ClickHouse being advantageous.
Automation, CI/CD & Infrastructure-as-Code – Drive automation and configuration management using Python/Shell scripting, Ansible/Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, and support CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI for releases, upgrades and operational efficiency.
HA/DR, Capacity & Secure Connectivity – Manage capacity planning, backup and recovery, HA/DR capabilities and secure connectivity across participating banks, RBIH, payment entities and partner systems, ensuring business continuity and operational resilience.
