Marketing Data Operations Manager (Contract, Remote)

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Compensation Range: $45 - $50 per hour W2
Are you a project manager with a deep understanding of direct response data structures and campaign execution? Join a leading direct response marketing agency to serve as a pivotal bridge between strategy and data operations, ensuring flawless data governance and campaign delivery. In this role, you will safeguard data integrity, drive operational efficiency, and empower strategy teams with rock-solid data instruction frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain comprehensive data guidebooks and line-by-line data dictionaries to establish clear business rules and maintain data integrity across client campaigns.
Translate business strategy into actionable, technical data instructions for data engineering teams while supporting strategists through grid creation and campaign brief handoffs.
Perform end-to-end quality control on returned data files and audit mail entry outputs to ensure 100% precision for production-bound deliverables.
Serve as the primary escalation point for data quality issues while enforcing enterprise data governance, security, and PII handling standards across all initiatives.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in direct response data management, including expertise in segmentation, selects, suppressions, merge/purge rules, and source coding.
2+ years of hands-on experience working with SQL and relational databases alongside working knowledge of ETL builds and data warehousing principles.
Proven track record of authoring complete, error-free technical data instructions and reviewing campaign strategies to resolve conflicting business rules.
Strong client-facing communication skills combined with experience navigating enterprise CRM platforms such as Salesforce or donor management systems.
