Design Engineer

Job Description:
We are looking for a design engineer to support controls and automation.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop standardized Onshape design and drawing templates for HAC and common product families, incorporating company design standards and best practices.
Create reusable Onshape Feature Scripts to automate repetitive modeling tasks, improve consistency, and reduce model creation time.
Build automated design audit tools supporting the Zero by Design initiative, including checks for dimensions, naming conventions, configurations, and metadata.
Deliver 2–3 production-ready automation tools and measure their impact on engineering setup and design speed.
Quantify common modeling issues identified before release and improvements in overall design quality and compliance.
Required Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
Ability to cope with ambiguity and challenging situations
Commitment to deliver the job and go beyond what is expected
Ability to interact effectively and communicate with all levels of the organisation
Ability to be organised and execute tasks in a timely manner
Problem solving, logical thinking and sound judgement
You should be no more than 12 months post-graduation and available to take up a position no later than 30 September 2027
You should have no more than 12 months’ work experience (not including university placements, internships, summer jobs, etc.)
You must be eligible to live and work permanently in the U.S
A good level of verbal and written English
Driving Licence
Willing to work full-time, in person
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $78,000 per year.
