Website & Technical SEO/AEO Specialist
Wingrove | Part-time | Approximately 4 hours per day to start
Wingrove is looking for a hands-on website specialist to help improve our clients’ websites across technical SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), design, development, and conversion tracking.
You’ll work across multiple client accounts to keep websites healthy, publish and optimize content, build landing pages, and make improvements that support search visibility, AI discoverability, and conversions. You’ll also support Wingrove’s own website as needed.
What you’ll do
Website health and technical optimization
Crawl and audit client websites, identify issues, and prioritize fixes.
Resolve technical SEO issues such as broken links, redirects, indexing problems, duplicate content, and missing metadata.
Improve site speed, mobile usability, accessibility, and overall website performance.
Manage technical files and settings, including robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, and llms.txt where appropriate.
Implement and validate relevant structured data.
Landing page design and development
Design, build, and update landing pages across WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Framer, and custom-coded websites.
Create responsive pages with clear messaging, intuitive layouts, and strong calls to action.
Improve existing pages to support usability, lead generation, and conversions.
Embed forms, booking tools, widgets, and other third-party integrations.
Content publishing and SEO/AEO
Upload, format, publish, and schedule client blog posts across website platforms.
Optimize landing pages and website content for relevant keywords and search intent.
Improve headings, metadata, internal links, image alt text, and content structure.
Structure content to provide clear, useful answers for both traditional search engines and AI-powered answer engines.
Tracking and integrations
Install and troubleshoot tracking codes, analytics tools, and conversion events.
Track meaningful actions such as form submissions, bookings, and purchases.
Support attribution setup and verify that tracking works correctly.
Use APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, and automation tools to connect systems and streamline website tasks.
Client and team support
Manage tasks across multiple client websites and communicate progress, priorities, and blockers.
Document changes and check your work before and after publishing.
Participate in a 15-minute team call five times per week.
Stay active and responsive in Slack during agreed working hours.
Help maintain and improve Wingrove’s own website when needed.
What we’re looking for
Practical experience working with WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Framer, and custom-coded websites.
Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to troubleshoot website issues.
Experience with technical SEO audits, website crawling, indexing, and on-page optimization.
An understanding of AEO and how content structure, technical accessibility, and structured data support discoverability.
The ability to both design and develop polished, responsive landing pages.
Experience publishing and scheduling website content including blog posts.
Familiarity with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and website crawlers.
Confidence working with APIs, MCP tools, integrations, and AI-assisted workflows.
Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage several client accounts at once.
Good judgment about prioritizing improvements based on their likely impact.
