Role Description The Video Editor role at Mehul Photo is a full-time hybrid position based in Surat, with the option for some work from home. In this role, the Video Editor will handle end-to-end video editing for events, commercial shoots, and social media content, including assembling raw footage, trimming clips, and creating smooth, engaging narratives. Day-to-day responsibilities include applying color correction and grading, syncing audio, adding transitions, motion graphics, titles, and other visual elements, and preparing final deliverables in required formats. The Video Editor will collaborate with photographers, videographers, and clients to understand project requirements, maintain brand consistency, and meet deadlines. The role also involves organizing media assets, backing up files, and staying current with editing trends and tools to enhance overall production quality.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Video Editing and Video Production skills, including experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
Candidates should possess Video Color Grading skills and a solid understanding of visual aesthetics, lighting, and color theory.
Candidates should possess Motion Graphics and Graphics capabilities for creating titles, lower thirds, overlays, and simple animated elements.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interpret creative briefs and respond to feedback constructively.
Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects, maintain file structures, and meet deadlines.
Relevant experience in event, wedding, or commercial video editing is beneficial; familiarity with social media platforms and short-form content is an advantage.
A diploma or degree in film, media, design, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory if supported by a strong portfolio.
