Role Description The Data Analyst will work on-site in Chengalpattu in a full-time capacity, supporting the cine samugam YouTube channel with data-driven insights. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing data from YouTube Analytics and other social media platforms, building dashboards and reports to track performance metrics, and identifying trends in viewership, engagement, and audience demographics. The role involves collaborating with content creators and channel management to optimize video topics, posting schedules, thumbnails, and titles based on data findings. The Data Analyst will also help design and measure experiments (such as A/B tests), provide regular performance summaries, and recommend actions to improve reach, watch time, and subscriber growth.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Data Analytics capabilities for interpreting YouTube and social media metrics.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Statistics and Data Modeling to support forecasting, segmentation, and performance analysis.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to present insights, reports, and recommendations to non-technical team members.
Familiarity with tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, data visualization platforms (e.g., Google Data Studio, Power BI, or similar), and YouTube Analytics.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work on-site in Chengalpattu, collaborate with a creative team, and manage multiple analyses in a fast-paced content environment.
Experience with basic scripting or query languages (such as SQL or Python) and prior work with digital media or YouTube channels is a plus.
