Position: Bilingual Indonesian STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $19–$23/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
Write expert-level prompts in Indonesian across specialized scientific topics.
Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
Work independently and asynchronously to enhance AI model safety in handling technical topics.
Qualifications
Must-Have
PhD in chemistry, biology, or a related field — ongoing or completed.
Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian and business-level written English.
Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred
Based in Indonesia or the wider Southeast Asia region.
Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or radiation physics.
Depth in a specific subfield such as organic synthesis, molecular biology, or virology.
Research or coursework on chemical safety and security.
Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
