Pattern Shop Supervisor | Hindustan Engineering & Industries Ltd.
- Supervise day-to-day activities of the Pattern Shop involved in railway bogie and foundry component manufacturing.
- Read and interpret engineering, casting and pattern drawings for manufacturing requirements.
- Prepare, modify and maintain 2D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with pattern makers, machinists, moulding/core shop and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor pattern manufacturing, modification, repair and maintenance activities.
- Check pattern dimensions, allowances, parting lines and core-related requirements as per drawings and specifications.
- Support casting and pattern development activities, including shrinkage, machining allowance and draft considerations.
- Ensure proper dimensional accuracy and quality of patterns before production use.
- Maintain daily work records, production updates and shop-floor coordination.
- Follow safety, quality and production requirements while working with cross-functional teams.
