Lead Data Scientist

Our collaborative team is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to fill a key role. This person will be instrumental in building and deploying AI solutions spanning multiple applications, including statistical analysis and natural language processing. Responsibilities
Build and deploy AI solutions covering classification, clustering, and anomaly detection
Perform statistical data analysis and implement machine learning methods
Oversee full project lifecycles spanning data preparation through model assessment
Apply Python and SQL skills for data processing and analysis
Participate in ML Ops activities and model development processes
Design models that business users can easily access
Work with cross-functional teams through software development practices and version control systems
Maintain documentation and update tracking tools like Jira
Keep current with emerging technologies and apply strong problem-solving abilities
Produce production-ready outputs and support knowledge transfer among team members
Requirements
Minimum of 9 years in software engineering with a focus on Data Science
A minimum of 1 year in a leadership capacity
Strong command of statistical analysis, machine learning, and NLP, including awareness of real-world applications and constraints
Hands-on background in building AI solutions covering classification, clustering, anomaly detection, and NLP
Skilled in managing end-to-end projects, from data preparation through model construction, testing, and visualization
Strong Python and SQL skills, including production-level coding and use of data analysis libraries
Working knowledge of ML Ops, model development cycles, and feature engineering approaches
Ability to manipulate data and build business-accessible models, including hands-on work with Azure AI Search
Solid grasp of software development practices, version control systems (such as GitLab), and tracking tools (such as Jira)
A strong drive to explore new technologies, paired with strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering production-ready work
Strong command of the UNIX command line
Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
Strong English communication abilities, at a B2+ level or above

Exposure to Big Data technologies
Experience using visualization tools
