About The Role
RunDTC is a commerce consultancy specializing in end-to-end digital commerce implementations for apparel, accessories, and lifestyle brands. We are looking for an experienced Akeneo Implementation Consultant to lead multiple concurrent PIM implementations for retail brand clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing role requiring both functional depth and technical integration capability.
Key responsibilities
Lead full-cycle Akeneo PIM implementations from discovery through go-live, managing multiple client engagements simultaneously
Drive data modeling workshops to define product families, attribute groups, taxonomy, and channel/locale structure for complex apparel and accessories catalogs
Configure and optimize Akeneo environments including rules engine, completeness conditions, and workflow approvals
Architect and execute integrations between Akeneo and downstream commerce platforms, feed aggregation services, ERPs, marketplaces, and more.
Collaborate with client stakeholders including merchandising, ecommerce, and IT teams to align PIM strategy with business goals
Produce and maintain implementation documentation including data models, integration specs, and runbooks
Support data migration efforts including source system analysis, transformation mapping, and validation
Provide guidance on Akeneo best practices specific to apparel and accessories product data complexity (colorways, sizing, fabrication, fit attributes)
What you bring to the table
3+ years of hands-on Akeneo PIM implementation experience
Demonstrated experience leading implementations for apparel and/or retail brands
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent client implementations without degradation in delivery quality
Experience integrating Akeneo with Shopify (catalog sync, product publishing, metafields)
Experience integrating Akeneo with Amazon (Seller Central or Vendor Central, listing feed management)
Familiarity with iPaaS/data migration tooling and connector development
Strong understanding of product data lifecycle in a retail context: from sourcing and merchandising through digital publishing

Akeneo Business Implementation Specialist Certification
Akeneo Technical Integration Specialist Certification
Akeneo Supplier Data Manager (SDM) Specialist Certification
Experience with additional commerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento)
Familiarity with iPaaS tools such as Workato, Boomi, or Celigo for Akeneo connector orchestration
Familiarity with DAM platforms such as Bynder or Brandfolder
Experience with wholesale or B2B catalog structures
