Business Manager / Plant Operations Lead

Role Description The Business Manager / Plant Operations Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Ulundurpet, responsible for overseeing day-to-day plant operations and overall business performance. This role manages concrete production schedules, supervises plant staff, coordinates raw material procurement, and ensures equipment is maintained and operated safely. The position includes monitoring quality control processes, maintaining production records, managing costs, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The individual works closely with customers to understand requirements, plan deliveries, and resolve operational or service issues. The role also involves leading continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing workflows, and supporting senior management with reporting, planning, and local business development activities.
Qualifications
Experience in plant operations, production management, or manufacturing leadership, preferably in concrete or construction-related industries.
Strong skills in team supervision, workforce planning, and day-to-day staff coordination.
Ability to manage scheduling, inventory, and logistics to support reliable concrete production and delivery.
Understanding of basic quality control practices, safety standards, and equipment maintenance in an industrial setting.
Competence in using spreadsheets or basic business software for reporting, tracking costs, and maintaining operational records.
Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management abilities to handle operational issues and competing priorities.
Relevant diploma or degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field is preferred; substantial practical experience can be considered in place of formal education.
Willingness to work on-site in Ulundurpet and be present during key production and delivery hours.
