IT Support Engineer at Ciyent Technologies

About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on IT Support Engineer to provide technical support, resolve hardware and network issues, and keep our IT systems running smoothly. You’ll work across computer hardware, networking, CCTV, and printers, both on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Computer Hardware & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and repair desktops and laptops, including boot issues, slow systems, and peripheral problems
Install and configure Windows OS, drivers, and essential software
Handle formatting, upgrades, and preventive maintenance
Replace faulty components such as RAM, SSD/HDD, SMPS, and motherboards
Networking & IT Support
Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet connections
Perform LAN cabling, RJ45 crimping, and cable testing
Configure routers, switches, access points, and IP addressing
Provide on-site and remote support to users
CCTV Installation & Maintenance
Install and configure IP and analog CCTV cameras
Set up DVRs/NVRs and basic CCTV network settings
Troubleshoot connectivity, recording, playback, and display issues
Printer & Cartridge Maintenance
Install and troubleshoot laser and inkjet printers (USB and network)
Perform toner/cartridge refilling, cleaning, and basic servicing
Diagnose paper jams, print quality issues, and common hardware faults
General IT Support & Documentation
Maintain records of service requests, repairs, replaced parts, and IT assets
Visit client sites for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Ensure timely resolution of issues and follow safety procedures
Required Skills
Strong practical knowledge of computer hardware diagnosis and repair
Hands-on experience with networking, LAN cabling, and RJ45 crimping
Working knowledge of CCTV cameras, DVRs, and NVRs
Experience in printer troubleshooting and toner/cartridge refilling
Knowledge of Windows installation, drivers, and common software issues
Good communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills
Willingness to travel to client locations when required
Qualification
ITI / Diploma / Graduate in IT, Computer Hardware, Networking, or a related field. Relevant practical experience and technical skills will be preferred.
Ideal Candidate: A hands-on technical professional who can independently handle computer repairs, networking issues, CCTV maintenance, and printer servicing with minimal supervision.
