Hosting, server management, backups, staging, uptime monitoring and disaster recovery
Security hardening, plugin and core updates, malware monitoring and access control
Consistent tracking setup (GA4, GTM, conversion events) so we know what drives sign-ups and sales
Regular QA: broken links, expired banners and offers, mobile layout issues, form and checkout failures
Clear documentation, so no part of the stack depends on one person's memory
What We're Looking For
2+ years of hands-on WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript)
Proven experience running high-traffic WordPress sites in production
Real experience with at least two of these: WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, LMS plugins (LearnDash, Tutor or similar), Paid Memberships Pro
Strong grasp of caching, CDN (Cloudflare or similar), server configuration and performance tuning
Payment gateway integrations (PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay or similar) and multi-currency setups
Technical SEO and Google Search Console expertise
Comfortable with Linux, SSH, Git and staging-to-production workflows
Clear communicator who works well with editorial, sales and marketing teams
Good to Have
Experience with multi-site user management, SSO or REST API integrations
Publisher ad tech (Google Ad Manager, ads.txt, header bidding)
Experience with Elementor-heavy sites and moving them to faster builds
Interest in the maritime industry (we'll teach you the rest)

Qualifications
Strong WordPress and general Web Development skills, including experience with custom themes, plugins, and CMS administration.
Proficiency in Front-End Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with a focus on clean, maintainable code and modern frameworks or libraries.
Experience in Back-End Web Development, including PHP, database integration, and optimisation for performance and security.
Demonstrated ability in responsive web design, creating accessible, mobile-friendly, and visually consistent user interfaces.
Familiarity with SEO best practices, web analytics tools, and site performance optimisation.
Comfort working remotely, managing priorities independently, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Previous experience in a senior or lead developer/webmaster role; exposure to publishing or media websites is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
