About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Architecture Vanguard is an architecture firm in the Denver metro area. ADUs, additions, and custom homes are our bread and butter, plus the occasional commercial project. Right now there's more work coming in than we can document, so we're looking for a sharp production partner who can take finished Revit models to permit-ready construction document sets.
The role
Take completed, information-rich Revit models to full permit sets (CDs) using our established template and standards
Draft plan review responses for jurisdictions across the metro (we have a documented process for this)
Handle small model revisions, exports, and issue-for-construction updates
Coordinate window/door specs and minor engineer/contractor items as needed
Most work is ADU documentation: repeatable, well-templated, precedent-rich. If you're fast and meticulous here, there's room to grow into additions, new builds, and design support.
Structure & Pay
Contract (1099), fully remote, based in the Denver metro area for project coordination
30–40 hrs/week. Volume moves with the pipeline.
Flexible on when you work, but we plan your hours week to week so deadlines stay covered
$25–40/hr depending on experience
We'll start with a 90-day trial period so we can both make sure it's a good fit
Hourly rate grows with demonstrated speed and quality
Referral bonus: 10% of project fee for any signed project you bring in with no cap
Required
5+ years producing construction documents in Revit — Revit is our primary tool, used daily
Architecture firm experience — you've worked inside real firm workflows, standards, and deadlines
You've taken projects through permit review and know what plan reviewers look for
Based in the Denver metro area
Self-managed: you can take a model and a checklist and come back with a submittable set
Dependable and communicative — you proactively surface risks early, confirm timelines up front, and coordinate adjustments so deadlines stay covered
Preferred
Residential experience; Denver-metro jurisdiction familiarity
Experience with Bluebeam, Twinmotion, and Notion
Familiarity with AI prompting and hands-on experience with AI tools
You notice design problems while documenting — and flag them
