About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager at Motion Education, you will own the product lifecycle of our learning app, with a sharp focus on paid user engagement, retention, and conversion. You will lead strategy for a B2C product at scale, turning data and user insight into features that improve learning outcomes and drive revenue growth. We are looking for a sharp, analytical, detail-obsessed leader who is comfortable working with engagement and analytics tools and owning business metrics.
Key Responsiblities include
Product Strategy and Roadmap
Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company and revenue goals.
Prioritise ruthlessly across competing initiatives using impact, effort, and data.
Identify market gaps and opportunities for new features, products, and improvements.
Paid User Engagement and Retention
Own engagement and retention metrics for paid users, including DAU/MAU, session depth, course completion, and renewals.
Reduce churn by identifying drop-off points and the key drivers of user satisfaction and value.
Design lifecycle journeys (onboarding, activation, re-engagement, win-back) in partnership with the CRM and marketing teams.
Conversion and Growth
Improve free-to-paid conversion through funnel optimisation, paywall and pricing experiments, trial experiences, and personalised offers.
Work with marketing and sales to align product experiences with acquisition and conversion goals.
Analytics and Engagement Tools
Use engagement tools (CleverTap, WebEngage, MoEngage, Mixpanel) to segment users and run targeted campaigns.
Analyse behaviour in Google Analytics, Firebase, or Amplitude to find pain points, trends, and optimisation opportunities.
Build dashboards and own the metric framework (funnels, cohorts, retention curves, LTV) to drive decisions.
Quality and Execution
Oversee the full lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring on-time delivery and product-market fit.
Monitor post-launch performance and iterate based on analytics and user feedback.
Cross-functional Leadership
Partner closely with engineering, design, content, marketing, and sales to deliver the roadmap.
Bridge product requirements and technical execution, ensuring clear communication across teams.
Market and Competitor Research
Track the EdTech landscape, competitors, emerging technologies, and shifting learner preferences.
Turn research into product opportunities and strategic recommendations.
Skills and Qualifications
Must-Have
5+ years of product management experience, with a proven record in B2C products.
Experience managing a product with 200K+ MAU.
Demonstrated impact on retention, paid user engagement, and conversion metrics.
Hands-on experience with engagement tools (CleverTap, WebEngage, MoEngage, Mixpanel, or similar).
Strong proficiency in analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, Amplitude) and comfort with data, including SQL or dashboarding tools.
Strong experience with A/B testing, user segmentation, cohort analysis, and funnel optimisation.
Ability to own and be accountable for business KPIs, not just feature delivery.
A detail-oriented, user-first mindset, backed by high analytical ability and structured problem solving.
Preferred
Experience in EdTech/E-commerce or on educational products.
Experience with subscription, freemium, or paid-conversion models.
Knowledge of mobile app UI/UX best practices.
Familiarity with gamification, personalisation, and notification or lifecycle strategies.
