Inpatient Medical Coder:

Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze inpatient medical records and clinical documentation.
Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.
Ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.
Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding-related inquiries.
Support denial prevention and resolution through coding review and validation.
Meet established productivity and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Experience in Inpatient Medical Coding
Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG assignment
CCS, RHIT, CPC, or equivalent certification preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation
Experience with EHR and coding platforms is an advantage
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
