We are looking for an experienced Django Developer who is passionate about backend engineering, scalable web applications, and writing clean, maintainable code.
Role Overview
As a Django Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust backend applications using Django and Python. You will play a key role in developing RESTful APIs, designing database architectures, implementing business logic, and ensuring application performance, security, and scalability.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Django, a solid understanding of backend architecture, and the ability to independently take ownership of development tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Python and Django.
* Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework (DRF).
* Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable backend components following best coding practices.
* Design database schemas, manage models and migrations, and optimize database queries.
* Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and application security.
* Optimize application performance, including database queries, API response times, and resource utilization.
* Debug complex issues, troubleshoot production problems, and improve existing codebases.
* Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability and code quality.
* Integrate third-party APIs, external services, and frontend applications with backend systems.
* Work with Git-based version control and follow structured development and code review practices.
* Deploy and maintain applications in Linux-based environments, with familiarity with Docker and CI/CD workflows.
* Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.
* Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* 4–6 years of professional experience in Python backend development, with strong hands-on expertise in Django.
* Excellent proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming, modular design, and common software design principles.
* Strong experience with Django ORM, models, migrations, middleware, views, URL routing, and Django application architecture.
* Practical experience with Django REST Framework, API development, serialization, validation, and API authentication.
* Good understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including query optimization and indexing.
* Experience implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems.
* Proficiency in Git and familiarity with testing frameworks such as pytest or Django’s testing framework.
* Understanding of HTTP, REST principles, JSON, and client-server architecture.
* Ability to write clean, reusable, well-documented code and independently troubleshoot technical issues.
* Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an on-site team environment.
Good to Have
* Experience with Docker, Linux server administration, and application deployment.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows.
* Experience with asynchronous tasks using Celery and message brokers such as Redis.
* Understanding of caching strategies, background processing, and application monitoring.
* Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend integration.
* Experience developing applications for industrial engineering, product development, or technical business domains.
