Job Summary
Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled Python Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services. The role involves developing APIs, integrating databases and third-party services, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Python.
Build scalable and secure backend services and RESTful APIs.
Develop and maintain integrations with databases, third-party APIs, and internal systems.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and performance issues.
Optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and security.
Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
Support application deployment, maintenance, and enhancement activities.
Maintain technical documentation for developed applications and services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Python programming.
Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with SQL and database design concepts.
Understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
Experience with Git or other version control systems.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with Docker and containerized application deployment.
Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Experience with Redis, Celery, or asynchronous task processing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
Exposure to insurance or BFSI applications will be an added advantage.
