Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Industrial Designer role based in Noida. The Industrial Designer will collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to design UAVs and drone-related products that are functional, user-centered, and manufacturable. Daily responsibilities include developing product concepts, creating 2D and 3D design assets, refining designs through iterative feedback, and participating in design reviews. The role involves building and testing prototypes, supporting product development from concept to production, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and usability requirements. The Industrial Designer will also contribute to documentation, maintain consistent design standards, and work closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners as needed.
Qualifications
Strong Industrial Design skills with experience in creating user-centric hardware products for technology or aerospace domains.
Product Design and Product Development skills for taking concepts through detailed design, validation, and preparation for manufacturing.
Prototyping and hands-on model building skills, including experience with rapid prototyping tools and methods.
Design Thinking skills to conduct user research, frame problems, generate solutions, and iterate based on feedback and data.
Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, or similar) and basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate design decisions clearly, and document work in a structured manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in UAVs, drones, robotics, or aerospace products is an advantage, along with familiarity with materials, ergonomics, and safety standards.
