Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build, enhance, and maintain user-facing applications within the Cortex ecosystem. The candidate should have strong frontend development skills, a solid understanding of application architecture, and the ability to troubleshoot complex UI and integration issues while maintaining the stability of existing features.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive, reliable, and user-friendly frontend applications.
Understand the existing Cortex UI architecture, component structure, application flows, and backend dependencies.
Take ownership of frontend backlog items, defects, enhancements, and technical issues.
Build reusable components and maintain consistent UI behavior across the application.
Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs.
Investigate UI defects, browser issues, performance bottlenecks, and API integration failures.
Write clean, maintainable, modular, and testable frontend code.
Develop unit tests, component tests, and end-to-end tests as appropriate.
Optimize application performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and user experience.
Collaborate with backend engineers, UX/UI teams, Product, Architecture, DevOps, and partner teams.
Participate in code reviews and follow established engineering standards.
Document frontend architecture, integration dependencies, and technical changes.
Support knowledge transfer and the transition of Cortex platform ownership to the Hyderabad team.
Required Skills
10+ years of frontend or UI engineering experience.
Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and reusable component development.
Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous application workflows.
Understanding of state management, browser debugging, frontend security, and performance optimization.
Experience with frontend testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
Proficiency in Git, code reviews, debugging, and CI/CD workflows.
Ability to analyze existing applications and improve them without introducing unnecessary redesigns.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent delivery skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with design systems, component libraries, accessibility standards, and UI performance monitoring.
Familiarity with micro-frontends and complex enterprise application architectures.
Experience supporting production applications and troubleshooting cross-layer integration issues
