About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Product Manager with around 1 year of experience in fintech/product roles to work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations and external partners.
This is an execution-focused role for someone who has already worked on real fintech products and understands how requirements move from business need → product solution → development → testing → release.
The role does not require deep technical expertise, but the candidate should be comfortable understanding basic APIs, system flows and technical dependencies while working with Engineering teams.
Experience
6–18 months of relevant experience, preferably in:
Fintech
Digital Lending
Payments
Banking / NBFC products
LOS / LMS
KYC / underwriting
Repayments / collections
Prior fintech experience is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in owning product features from requirement gathering to production rollout.
Convert business requirements into clear PRDs, user stories, workflows and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations and Business teams.
Understand existing customer journeys and identify product gaps and improvement opportunities.
Coordinate with technology vendors and external partners for integrations and feature delivery.
Support and independently execute UAT, including happy paths, failure scenarios and edge cases.
Validate implementation against approved requirements.
Track bugs, requirement gaps and pending dependencies through closure.
Support releases and post-production monitoring.
Analyse product funnels, user behaviour and operational data.
Maintain product documentation, trackers and implementation records.
Gradually take independent ownership of smaller product modules/features.
What We’re Looking For
Approximately 1 year of hands-on product experience in fintech.
Experience working on actual product features rather than only research or case studies.
Ability to understand a business problem and convert it into structured requirements.
Exposure to writing or working with PRDs, user stories or acceptance criteria.
Experience participating in or conducting UAT/testing.
Strong logical thinking and attention to detail.
Comfortable coordinating with Engineering and external technology partners.
Ability to identify edge cases and question incomplete requirements.
Good written and verbal communication.
Strong ownership and willingness to get into execution details.
Technical Comfort Expected
The candidate should have basic familiarity with:
APIs and request/response concepts
Swagger/Postman or similar tools
System and payment statuses
Basic frontend/backend understanding
API failures, timeouts and retries
Basic SQL/data analysis would be an advantage
The expectation is simply that the candidate should be able to understand technical discussions and work effectively with Engineering, not design system architecture.
Work arrangement
No
