Role Description This full-time remote Mechanical Design Engineer role is responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and systems from concept to final design. Day-to-day tasks include creating and revising detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD tools, performing basic engineering calculations, and ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to refine product specifications, review design feasibility, and resolve technical issues throughout the development cycle. Responsibilities also include preparing documentation and BOMs, supporting prototype build and testing, and incorporating feedback into design iterations to improve performance and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in Design Engineering and Machine Design.
Proficiency in Product Design, including concept development, design optimization, and design for manufacturability.
Hands-on expertise with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, drafting, and assembly design.
Ability to apply engineering principles, perform basic stress and tolerance analysis, and interpret technical specifications and standards.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with remote and cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
Experience with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and industrial product development is an advantage.
