Role Description The Billing Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune District. In this role, the professional will prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ), perform quantity take-offs from drawings, and ensure accurate project billing in line with contract terms. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing billing systems, conducting rate analysis, coordinating with project and site teams, and tracking work progress for timely submission of client and subcontractor bills. The role also involves reviewing measurements, validating quantities, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining detailed records and reports to support project cost control and compliance.
Qualifications
Strong Quantity Surveying and BOQ preparation skills, including measurement, estimation, and quantity take-offs.
Hands-on experience with Billing Systems and processes, including preparation, verification, and reconciliation of project bills.
Ability to perform Rate Analysis and cost comparisons for materials, labor, and services in line with project specifications.
Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting drawings, contracts, and site data to ensure accurate and transparent billing.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant estimation or billing software.
Understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and standard measurement practices.
Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to work collaboratively with site and office teams.
Prior experience in interior fit-out, construction, or turnkey projects is an advantage.
