Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quality Assurance Engineer role based in Trivandrum. The Quality Assurance Engineer will design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of ECS Fin’s transaction processing and IMS Solutions. Responsibilities include performing manual testing across different modules, documenting defects, collaborating with development and product teams to reproduce and resolve issues, and verifying fixes in subsequent releases. The role involves analyzing requirements, identifying test scenarios, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation. The engineer will also participate in release readiness activities, provide clear test reports, and help maintain a robust testing environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with the ability to apply QA methodologies across complex financial systems.
Hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Test Execution, including validating functional, integration, and regression scenarios.
Proficiency in designing and maintaining detailed Test Cases, test scripts, and structured test documentation.
Understanding of transaction processing or financial domain workflows is beneficial.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail or similar).
Ability to interpret technical specifications, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and communicate findings clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to maintaining high product quality and user experience.
