Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Product Business Analyst with strong analytical and solution-design capabilities. The role requires someone who can understand a client’s high-level idea, identify the underlying business need, ask the right questions, and develop a complete solution approach before development begins.
This position is suited to a professional who goes beyond requirement documentation and can think critically about workflows, business rules, edge cases, risks, dependencies, user behaviour and overall product impact.
Key Responsibilities
Understand client requirements and identify the underlying business problem.
Analyse ambiguous or high-level requirements and convert them into structured solutions.
Define end-to-end workflows, user journeys and functional behaviour.
Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, edge cases, permissions and security considerations.
Challenge assumptions and recommend practical improvements or alternative approaches.
Prepare clear functional requirements and solution documentation.
Collaborate with clients, management and development teams throughout solution planning.
Ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives and practical for implementation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
5+ years of experience as a Product Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar role.
Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with software products and technical/development teams.
Ability to work effectively with incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
Strong understanding of business processes, workflows and product functionality.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to independently evaluate a problem and develop a structured solution.
Example of Expected Thinking
A client says: “Users should be able to share a folder.”
The candidate should explore the broader solution, including access, permissions, security, expiry, revocation, notifications and relevant edge cases, rather than limiting the requirement to a simple “Share” feature.
