Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Steel Detailer / Modeler / Checker based in Kalyan Dombivli. The role involves preparing detailed shop drawings and 3D models for steel structures, interpreting architectural and structural drawings, and ensuring all details are accurate and compliant with project specifications and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with engineers and project managers, resolving drawing discrepancies, updating models and drawings based on review comments, and preparing fabrication and erection drawings. The role also includes checking and reviewing drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and constructability, supporting smooth communication with fabrication teams, and maintaining organized project documentation.
Qualifications
Ability to produce precise shop drawings and fabrication details, with strong skills in Shop Drawings and Steel Detailing.
Experience working with Steel Structures, including connections, member sizing details, and erection drawings.
Competence in interpreting and coordinating with Architectural Drawings and structural design documents.
Knowledge of Rebar detailing and reinforcement drawings for structural elements is an advantage.
Proficiency in relevant CAD/BIM or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, SDS/2, or similar).
Strong attention to detail, ability to identify and correct errors, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
Diploma or degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience in steel detailing.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work on-site in Dombivli.
