Role Description The Sales Service Engineer role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Hyderabad, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical support for Svan’s instruments, performing installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair activities at customer sites, and troubleshooting equipment issues to ensure minimal downtime. The role involves field service visits, coordinating service schedules, documenting service reports, and supporting customers with operational guidance and basic training. The Sales Service Engineer collaborates with the sales team by offering technical inputs, assisting in product demonstrations, and helping identify opportunities for service contracts and upgrades. This position requires consistent, professional communication with customers to maintain strong relationships and uphold Svan’s standards of purity, precision, and protection.
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on skills in maintenance and repair of analytical or laboratory equipment.
Experience in field service operations, including on-site installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
Proficiency in technical support, including remote diagnostics, resolving user issues, and documenting service activities.
Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
Familiarity with pharmaceutical or life sciences environments and regulatory or quality standards is an advantage.
Ability to travel within the region as needed and manage schedules independently.
Comfort with using service management software, reporting tools, and basic office applications.
