Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Textile Designer role based in Panipat. The Textile Designer will develop original textile patterns and graphics for home textile products, including prints, woven designs, and embroidered details. Daily responsibilities include creating design concepts, preparing artwork and technical specifications, selecting colors and materials, and adapting designs to different product lines. The role involves collaborating with production teams and merchandisers to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing, meet cost and quality requirements, and align with market trends and customer preferences. The Textile Designer will also maintain design libraries, track sampling progress, and revise designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Textile Prints and Textiles, with the ability to develop patterns suitable for various home textile products.
Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design, including experience with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
Experience in Embroidery design, including knowledge of stitches, techniques, and translating artwork into embroidery files.
Understanding of color theory, fabric types, and textile construction, with attention to detail in pattern repeats and scaling.
Ability to interpret market trends and customer requirements into commercially viable designs.
Strong visualization, drawing, and concept development skills, with a portfolio demonstrating textile or surface design work.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, and merchandising teams.
Diploma or degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience in home textiles or apparel design is an advantage, but candidates with strong portfolios will be considered.
