This remote senior systems role is a strong fit for IT Support Group readers who enjoy hands-on Linux administration, enterprise storage, automation, and solving complex client infrastructure problems. What you would work on: - Administer and troubleshoot medium-to-large Linux environments and large-scale NAS storage. - Diagnose performance, permissions, NFS/SMB, database, web-service, and network issues. - Use Python, Bash, or similar languages to automate repetitive work, analyze logs, and identify bottlenecks. - Apply Starfish technology to scientific workflows, data migrations, compliance, and enterprise unstructured-data management. Good fit if: - You have 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience and deep command-line troubleshooting skills. - You have hands-on experience with NAS storage, NFS, SMB, SQL/databases, and enterprise identity systems such as LDAP, Active Directory, or PAM. - You can work independently with clients and communicate technical findings clearly; Windows administration or parallel file-system experience is a plus.
