Chainguard is hiring a technically engaged engineering manager to lead the internal developer platform team behind its CI/CD, infrastructure automation, deployment workflows, and engineering “golden paths.” This is a strong match for experienced ITSG readers who have moved from hands-on platform, SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure work into engineering leadership. What you would work on: - Improve developer tooling, environments, CI/CD systems, release processes, and deployment workflows. - Build self-service platform capabilities and advance Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and platform automation. - Drive reliability through SLOs, observability, incident management, capacity planning, and continuous improvement. - Lead a team of senior and principal engineers while shaping the internal developer platform roadmap. Good fit if: - You have at least 2–3 years of engineering management experience and have managed senior technical talent. - Your background includes platform engineering, SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure. - You have strong Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD, and automation experience. - You can stay technically engaged while coaching a mature engineering team.
