About Alaris
Alaris Acquisitions is a sell-side M&A advisory firm that works exclusively with owners of wealth management firms. We help RIA owners find the right partner and the right deal, using Applied Buyer Intelligence and our proprietary Lens platform. Our team has been part of 100+ closed acquisitions and $2B+ in seller proceeds, with zero post-close break-ups. Most M&A processes begin with a buyer list. Alaris begins with buyer intelligence.
The role
You have spent years inside Schwab Advisor Services, sitting across the table from RIA owners and learning how their businesses run. At Alaris, you will use that knowledge to help those owners make the most important decision of their careers.
This is a full-cycle origination role. You will source, pitch, and close new advisory engagements with RIA owners. Once an engagement is signed, you hand the client to our deal and transition teams, and you go back to building your pipeline.
What you will do
Build and work a pipeline of RIA owners who are thinking about succession, partnership, or a sale
Lead first meetings and discovery conversations to understand each owner's goals, business, and ideal outcome
Present the Alaris approach and Lens platform, and win signed advisory engagements
Develop referral relationships across the RIA ecosystem
Represent Alaris at conferences, study groups, and industry events
Hand off each signed client with a complete, accurate record of what you learned and committed
Keep your pipeline current in our CRM
What we are looking for
5+ years as a Relationship Manager, Senior Relationship Manager, or Business Development Officer at Fidelity, Schwab, or similar custodian.
A real network of RIA owners and principals, ideally firms with $2M to $15M in annual revenue
A track record of winning new business: new RIA clients, breakaway advisors, or significant asset growth
Fluency in RIA economics: revenue, margins, ownership structure, and succession challenges
Comfort closing a long-cycle, high-trust decision without a large brand behind you
Discipline to follow through on every commitment and keep a pipeline organized
Bachelor's degree; CFP, CFA, or similar designations are a plus
Why Alaris
A 100% success-fee model that lines up our interests with our clients' interests
Proprietary buyer intelligence that gives you a clear point of difference in every conversation
A small, direct team where your results are visible and rewarded
Base compensation of $200,000 to $250,000, plus performance bonuses tied to results
Alaris Acquisitions is an equal opportunity employer.
