Data Asistan

Role Description This part-time remote Data Assistant role at the National Security Early Warning Research Organization supports data-driven research and monitoring activities. The Data Assistant will help collect, organize, and maintain datasets used for early warning analysis, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation. Day-to-day tasks include performing basic data analysis, preparing reports and dashboards, and assisting with data cleaning and validation. The role also involves collaborating with researchers and analysts to understand data requirements, supporting data modeling efforts, and following established protocols for data security and confidentiality. The Data Assistant is expected to manage workload independently, meet deadlines, and communicate progress clearly in a remote environment.
Qualifications
Strong data analysis capabilities, including Data Analysis and Data Analytics skills.
Solid data management skills, including Data Management and data organization best practices.
Applied analytical skills for interpreting trends, patterns, and insights from datasets.
Foundational experience or familiarity with Data Modeling and structured data design.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with SQL or statistical tools is a plus).
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to follow documented procedures.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote team setting.
Relevant coursework or experience in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field; prior experience in research or security-related domains is beneficial.
