Role Description The Head Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Aligarh, responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel and restaurant premises. The role includes managing preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as kitchen and restaurant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. The Head Engineer will plan and schedule maintenance activities, supervise technicians and contractors, monitor energy usage, and ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations. This role also involves coordinating with hotel management on infrastructure upgrades, responding promptly to maintenance requests, maintaining detailed records, and supporting a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment at all times.
Qualifications
Strong technical knowledge in building services, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Experience managing maintenance for hotel or restaurant equipment, preferably in hospitality or food service environments.
Proven ability to lead and supervise maintenance teams, assign tasks, and coordinate external vendors or contractors.
Solid understanding of safety practices, preventive maintenance planning, and compliance with local building and fire regulations.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly, prioritize work under time constraints, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with management, staff, and service providers.
Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) is highly preferred.
Previous experience as a maintenance supervisor or engineer in hotels, restaurant
