Senior Data Engineer

Cybryne is a boutique data and AI consultancy based in Chennai. We build data platforms,
analytics and AI products for mid-market companies. We're hiring a hands-on Snowflake data
engineer to join the delivery team and own builds end to end, working alongside our lead
architect and directly with the teams we deliver for.
What you will do:
• Build data warehouses on Snowflake from scratch ingestion from files, cloud storage,
databases and APIs; raw, staging and curated layers; dimensional models with history
• Write SQL and dbt transformations that feed dashboards, applications and AI products
• Put data-quality tests, monitoring, documentation and catalogs in place as part of
delivery, not after
• Set up Git, CI and release practices on projects that don't have them yet
• Work in sprints, join daily stand-ups with the teams you deliver for, and report progress
openly
• Across projects: Snowflake, Databricks or BigQuery platforms, Azure, Power BI, and AI
products on top of them
Must have:
• Strong hands-on Snowflake production experience you can walk through in detail stages,
pipes, tasks, warehouses, roles
• Advanced SQL and data modelling (dimensional, SCD Type 1/2)
• dbt or a comparable transformation framework, in production
• Experience with messy, inconsistent source data from multiple systems
• Git, testing and documentation habits
• Clear spoken English and comfort answering technical questions from stakeholders in
the US
Nice to have:
Snowflake Streams/Tasks, Airflow or similar orchestration, Azure Data Factory,
healthcare or financial-services data, Power BI
Working terms:
• Full-time, 40 hours a week, remote
• US Central business hours, approximately 6:30 pm to 3:30 am IST, Monday to Friday
(night shift)
• Start within a day or two of offer.
