Role Description
The Financial Performance Analyst / Financial Performance Specialist evaluates financial results to assess business performance and identify opportunities for improvement. The role involves analyzing revenue, costs, profitability, and key financial metrics, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, and explaining the drivers of performance variances.
The successful candidate will collaborate with finance and business teams to monitor financial targets, evaluate business initiatives, and recommend corrective actions. This position also develops management reports and dashboards that provide clear insights to support operational improvements and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
Relevant experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis, management accounting, or performance reporting.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial results and identify underlying performance drivers.
Understanding of financial statements, profitability metrics, variance analysis, and key performance indicators.
Ability to analyze revenue and cost trends and assess performance across products, departments, or business units.
Experience developing financial models, conducting scenario analysis, and evaluating improvement opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and lookup functions.
Familiarity with ERP systems, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting and analytical tools is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, consistent, and timely reporting.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
Ability to manage reporting deadlines, coordinate inputs across teams, and prioritize multiple deliverables.
Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
