Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Shopify Developer at RaaS Agency. The Shopify Developer will build, customize, and maintain Shopify stores for SME clients, ensuring performant, secure, and conversion-focused e-commerce experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing custom themes, implementing app integrations, optimizing store speed, configuring products and collections, and supporting checkout and payment setups. The role involves collaborating with digital marketing and design teams to implement landing pages, track analytics, and support A/B testing and CRO initiatives. The Shopify Developer will also troubleshoot technical issues, document implementations, and contribute to reusable components and best practices for e-commerce projects.
Qualifications
Strong Shopify development skills, including theme customization (Liquid), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Shopify apps, APIs, and integrations (payments, shipping, marketing, analytics).
Proficiency in e-commerce best practices, including UX for online stores, conversion optimization, and mobile-responsive design.
Familiarity with performance optimization, debugging, and version control tools (e.g., Git).
Ability to collaborate with remote cross-functional teams (design, marketing, operations) and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills in English.
Previous experience working with SMEs or agencies in the GCC region is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of additional platforms or tools (e.g., WooCommerce, BigCommerce, ERP or CRM integrations) is advantageous.
