About the role
We are looking for a Shopify Developer with 1–3 years of experience to join the Arata team. The role will involve developing, maintaining, and optimizing our Shopify website, with a strong focus on website performance, UI/UX implementation, custom features, and conversion optimization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Shopify, Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs, and should be comfortable working closely with the Product, Marketing, Design, and Technology teams

Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus websites.
Work with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build and modify website features.
Implement new UI/UX designs and website functionalities on Shopify.
Develop and maintain custom sections, components, templates, landing pages, and product pages.
Build and optimize custom Shopify features based on business and customer requirements.
Integrate and manage third-party apps, APIs, payment solutions, and marketing tools.
Work on cart, checkout, product, collection, search, navigation, and promotional functionalities.
Optimize website for speed, performance, responsiveness, and mobile experience.
Identify and fix website bugs, UI issues, functional issues, and technical errors.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Implement tracking and analytics requirements using tools such as Google Tag Manager and GA4.
Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Design, and SEO teams to execute website initiatives.
Support website launches, campaigns, offers, new product launches, and other business requirements.
Follow Shopify development best practices, clean coding standards, and version control.
Monitor website performance and continuously identify opportunities for conversion rate and user experience improvements.
Requirements
1–3 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development.
Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Shopify theme development and customization.
Good understanding of Shopify Admin, Products, Collections, Metafields, Templates, Sections, and Theme Architecture.
Experience working with Shopify APIs and third-party integrations is a plus.
Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control.
Basic understanding of SEO, website analytics, and performance optimization.
Experience with Shopify Plus is an added advantage.
Ability to understand Figma/UI designs and convert them into pixel-accurate web interfaces.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Experience working with D2C/e-commerce brands.
Experience with Shopify Functions, Shopify APIs, Webhooks, or Checkout Extensibility.
Knowledge of React/Node.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with CRO, A/B testing, and e-commerce analytics.
Experience working with high-traffic Shopify websites.
