Trainee Claims Technician

The Role
As a Trainee Claims Technician, you'll join a supportive team and learn the fundamentals of insurance claims handling. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll provide administrative support, maintain accurate records, and develop the technical knowledge needed to build a successful career in insurance.
What you'll be doing
Support the day-to-day administration of insurance claims.
Assist with setting up and maintaining claim records on company systems.
Acknowledge new claims and help communicate updates to clients and insurers.
Prepare and manage documentation to support claims handling activities.
Process payments, collections, and other claims-related information accurately.
Respond to queries and escalate more complex issues when needed.
Work with colleagues across the business to deliver excellent client service.
Learn and follow company, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Contribute to team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who we're looking for
Previous office, administration, customer service, or similar experience.
An interest in starting a career within insurance claims.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and other computer systems.
A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
A-level standard education (or equivalent).
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Interest in pursuing insurance-related qualifications is desirable but not essential.
