Role Description The Interior Site Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for supervising day-to-day interior project execution at client locations. The role includes coordinating with designers, contractors, and suppliers, monitoring work progress against project plans, and ensuring that installations meet quality, safety, and design specifications. The Interior Site Engineer will oversee site measurements, material checks, and technical drawings, resolve site-level issues, and provide regular updates and reports to project managers. The position also involves maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong on-site execution and supervision skills, with experience in managing interior or civil construction projects.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
Candidates should possess quality control skills, including the ability to inspect work, verify materials, and ensure adherence to design and safety standards.
Candidates should possess structural engineering or civil engineering knowledge, with a background suited to interpreting technical drawings and construction details.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in reading drawings and using basic site measurement tools; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage.
Ability to work independently at site, manage multiple stakeholders, and handle project timelines and constraints.
Prior experience in interior fit-out projects or contracting firms in the Chennai or South India region is beneficial.
