About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and technically minded Junior Sales Engineer - Refractories to join our sales team, supporting customers across the Gujarat region. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with experience in foundries, steel plants, or refractory products who is looking to develop a long-term career in technical sales.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers while driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities within foundries and induction furnace-based steel plants.
Key Responsibilities
• Promote and sell refractory products and solutions to Foundries and Mini Steel Plants.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships across the Gujarat market.
• Provide technical support to customers, including:
o Product selection
o Repair recommendations
o Installation supervision
o Performance monitoring
• Identify new business opportunities and generate sustainable sales growth.
• Prepare and implement sales development plans for assigned territories.
• Collaborate closely with customers' technical, operations, refractory, and commercial teams.
• Support customers by recommending improvements in lining designs and proposing value-added products and services.
• Assist with troubleshooting and provide initial analysis of refractory performance issues.
• Prepare technical reports, quotations, presentations, and customer proposals.
• Conduct regular customer visits and travel extensively within the region as required.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
• 1-3 years of experience in the refractory, foundry, or steel industry.
• Sound understanding of refractory products, properties, lining patterns, and selection criteria.
• Experience working with:
o Induction Furnaces
o Steel Ladles
o Launders
o Continuous Casting Machines (CCM)
• Strong interest in developing a career in technical sales and business development.
• Ability to understand and investigate basic refractory performance and failure analysis issues.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and business development activities.
Preferred Skills
• Hands-on experience supervising refractory installation and maintenance projects.
• Experience interacting with foundry, steel production, refractory, and operational teams.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to present technical solutions confidently to customers.
