Key Responsibilities
Design and execute API, backend, database and UI test strategies.
Develop and maintain automation using Selenium with Java and REST Assured.
Perform exploratory, functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
Validate transactions across third-party systems, middleware and downstream applications.
Verify that requests are correctly received, transformed, processed and returned.
Validate database records and data integrity at each stage of a transaction.
Analyze application, API and server logs to investigate failed transactions.
Trace issues across APIs, middleware, microservices, databases and external dependencies.
Identify requirement gaps, missing scenarios and integration risks early.
Troubleshoot failures independently before escalating them.
Distinguish application defects from automation, environment, configuration and test-data issues.
Participate in requirement refinement, technical discussions, defect triage and release-readiness reviews.
Coordinate UAT activities for backend-oriented functionality.
Communicate risks, defects, root causes and recommendations clearly.
Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product owners, business analysts and QA team members.
Take complete ownership of assigned work from requirement analysis through release validation.

Candidates should understand:
Microservices architecture
Monolithic architecture
Middleware and integration platforms
