About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Total Experience: 3+ years Platform / backend systems: 1+ year hands-on Location:
Bengaluru Work Mode: In-office Type: Full-time
About Revspot
Revspot is building AI-native revenue infrastructure for high-ticket B2C businesses.
We build AI agents that qualify leads, make voice calls, schedule meetings, engage customers, assist sales teams and drive real revenue outcomes. Every one of those agents runs on a platform that has to be secure, observable and always up.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer (or Site Reliability Engineer) who writes code and builds the core platform services our product teams depend on. This is not a DevOps role. Deploying to AWS and setting up CI/CD pipelines is table stakes here, not the job.
What You Will Own
Build and run authentication and authorization services: login, SSO/OAuth, API keys, service-to-service auth, roles and permissions.
Build and manage background workers and job queues: retries, dead-letter handling, scheduling, concurrency and autoscaling.
Scale systems that handle real-time voice calls, lead pipelines and high-volume APIs: capacity planning, load testing, caching and rate limiting.
Own domain and network management: DNS, TLS certificates, custom domains for customers, load balancers and edge routing.
Drive data security: encryption at rest and in transit, secrets management, PII handling, access controls and audit trails.
Own logs, metrics, tracing and alerting so any production issue can be found and fixed fast.
Manage databases: schema migrations, indexing and query performance, replication, backups, restores and cost.
Build internal platform tools and libraries that make every engineer faster and safer.
Lead incident response, root-cause analysis and reliability improvements (SLOs, error budgets, on-call hygiene).
Take platform projects from problem statement to design to production.
What We Are Looking For
3+ years of software engineering experience, with real time spent building platform, backend or infrastructure systems.
Strong coding skills in Python, Go, Node.js or a similar language. You write production services, not just scripts and YAML.
Hands-on experience with at least a few of these platform areas: auth services, background workers and queues, scaling systems, domain management, data security, logs and monitoring, database management.
Experience with queues and async systems such as SQS, Redis/BullMQ, Celery, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or similar): performance tuning, migrations, backups and replication.
Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ELK or SigNoz.
Good grasp of networking, DNS, TLS and security fundamentals.
Comfortable with AWS (or another major cloud), Docker and Kubernetes, as tools you use to build the platform.
Ability to independently design, build and ship production systems.
Strong Plus
Built or owned an auth service, job-queue platform or multi-tenant system used in production.
Scaled a system through a big jump in traffic, and can explain what broke and how you fixed it.
Experience with security or compliance work (SOC 2, ISO 27001, data privacy).
Experience running real-time systems (WebSockets, telephony, streaming) or AI/LLM workloads in production.
Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar.
Startup experience where you built platform foundations from scratch.
What Matters Most
We are not looking for someone who only knows how to deploy on AWS and build CI/CD pipelines.
We want an engineer who can code and has actually built the platform pieces a product runs on.
You should be able to take a problem such as:
Our background jobs are backing up during peak call hours, a few are silently failing, and we have no idea which customer is affected. Fix it. "
…and independently design the queueing, retries, scaling, alerting and dashboards, write the code, and ship it.
You Will Thrive Here If
You enjoy building systems more than clicking through consoles.
You care about reliability, security and performance as product features.
You move fast and are comfortable figuring things out independently.
You like making other engineers more productive.
You want your work to directly impact real customer and revenue outcomes.
You want significant ownership early in your career.
