Role Description The Supply Chain Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations for Shivay Confectionery’s product portfolio. This role includes managing demand planning, procurement of raw materials and packaging, and inventory control to ensure consistent product availability and optimal stock levels. The Supply Chain Manager will coordinate with production, quality, logistics, and sales teams to align supply with business forecasts and customer orders, while optimizing lead times and costs. Daily activities involve analyzing data and performance metrics, identifying process improvements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements in domestic and international markets. The role also includes supporting new product launches, improving distribution efficiency, and contributing to strategic planning for supply chain scalability.
Qualifications
Strong demand planning skills, including forecasting and sales & operations planning (S&OP).
Proficiency in supply management and procurement, with experience managing vendor performance and contracts.
Hands-on experience in inventory management, including stock optimization and warehouse coordination.
Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and implement process improvements.
Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing supply chains, preferably in confectionery or snack products.
Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards relevant to food production and distribution.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency with ERP or supply chain management systems and MS Excel.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is an advantage.
