Lead Java Engineer

The Role
Lead the design, development, and enhancement of critical digital services supporting high-volume business processes
Provide technical leadership across Scrum teams, modernising legacy platforms and services
Define technical approaches, ensuring scalable, secure, maintainable, and supportable solutions
Design and oversee the development of RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
Mentor and coach Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior Engineers, fostering technical talent
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams and delivery processes
What You'll Need
Strong commercial experience leading the development of enterprise Java applications
Extensive experience building applications and APIs using Spring Boot
Proven ability to lead engineering teams within Agile delivery environments
Strong experience producing technical designs and making architectural decisions
Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices
Experience mentoring and developing technical talent within delivery teams
