Senior Test Engineer

We are working with a government-led initiative focused on environmental sustainability, specifically designing and delivering a secure, long-term digital solution for managing Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) data for significant ecological recovery projects. This effort aims to replace outdated, risky submission processes with a robust, modern system supporting decades of program delivery.
The Role
Design and deliver a secure, long-term digital solution for collecting, storing, validating, analysing, and reporting MEL data.
Replace current SharePoint and spreadsheet-based submission processes with robust data management workflows.
Lead user-centred design and the establishment of a front-end submission tool for external users.
Define, own, and communicate test strategies aligned to delivery, business risk, and government service standards.
Select and tailor appropriate test approaches (manual, automated, exploratory, risk-based) for complex systems and integrations.
Plan, build, and execute non-functional testing activities, including performance, accessibility, security, resilience, and interoperability.
What You'll Need
Proven expertise in automated testing frameworks like Playwright, Jest, WebdriverIO, or Cypress.
Strong experience with data validation testing and load/performance testing for bulk uploads.
Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency with open-source JavaScript-based libraries/frameworks for API testing or Postman.
Experience with tools like Jmeter or K6 for load and performance testing.
Familiarity with continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins, AWS, or ADO in Azure, and GitHub expertise.
