Role Description The Network Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kothamangalam. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining wired and wireless network infrastructure to support the centre’s operations and training activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring network performance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, managing network devices and configurations, and ensuring secure, reliable connectivity for staff, students, and training environments. The Network Engineer will also implement and maintain network security measures, document network architecture and procedures, and collaborate with trainers and administrative teams to support lab setups and technology initiatives.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Engineering and Network Design to plan, implement, and optimize network infrastructures.
Candidates should possess solid Network Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Candidates should possess expertise in Troubleshooting to identify, analyze, and resolve network performance and connectivity issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to implement and manage secure access controls, firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
Experience with TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and wireless networking technologies is preferred.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and support non-technical stakeholders.
Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in networking.
